Cooking Notes
We cooked a few different varieties of ready-made TJ’s sides at once, in a 350°F oven for 20-25 minutes. Not exactly as prescribed in the directions, but it worked perfectly in our tests.
When we saw this Corn Pudding at our local TJ’s Thanksgiving section, we had to jump on it. It sounded like it was going to be delicious, and we were excited to streamline the Turkey Day prep (there’s no shame in pre-made side dishes – especially when they look this tempting).
The verdict? We’re happy to report that this side dish is as delicious as it sounds. It was really tasty. It’s packed with corn, and the cheese is flavorful. It had a nice, subtle crust and it wasn’t too cheesy or creamy. It’s arguably more of a “casserole” than a “pudding”, but we’ll let that slide 🙂
To round out our Test Thanksgiving dinner, we paired this Corn Pudding with Scalloped Potatoes with Quattro Formaggio, Cauliflower Gratin, Carrot Souffle, Cornbread Stuffing Mix, and Kettle Cooked Turkey Gravy. Definitely a hearty spread!
